Physical Data mining

So this morning, the laundry chap came home to deliver the usual clothes. When my mom picked up the bundle, he said

Laundry Guy : “Looks like kalyan changed jobs or has gotten a promotion”
My mom : “Huh? What do you mean ?”
Laundry guy : “Over the last couple of weeks, his clothes have fully changed from green camouflage T-shirts to formal pants and shirts, So I guessed he’s got a new job”

This reminds me of the movie ‘One Hour Photo’. * scary *

Elementary my dear Watson! So, the residents of 221B Baker Street would have been considered physical data miners eh?

I believe inferred behavioural patters is an area of your speciality. So which part of your job do you think scares the masses? 😉

I say your phone company, bank and what not put together know less than what your average English butler or a “Ramu kaka” from a century ago knew about their masters.

oh yes .. but then ramu kaka wont sell you (your data) .. unless you fire him ..
same holds for your family & friends (ramu kaka is family)

Personalisation is a benefit that you derive …
in kallu’s case for example .. the laundry man will make the white shirts whiter & expect to be paid more as dear kallu is earning more ..

Consider yourself lucky! My laundry woman actually comments on my dressing style! She thinks tops needn’t be low necked and jeans aren’t supposed to be tight fitting. Blah. What does SHE know? She’s the one with a husband!!

That’s “sitting in St Louis” in local parlance…I see you’ve been very busy. I don’t have my laptop, and hence my address book, to email you….how are things going with you? email me when you find time. the dandeli pics were disappointing so we haven’t posted any of them.
