I’m back

It’s been one hectic month (explains why I’ve not blogged in a while)

  • Work is picking up slow and steady.. so good stuff on that front
  • Managed to make one trip to Muthodi late august and one trip to Kudremukh last week. Both were in core western ghats and they were *Excellent*. More about it later
  • My laptop gave up on me, and was stranded on a windows machine for a week. But thanks to IBM’s excellent service, I’m back in action now
  • Working on a wildlife related project.. You’ll hear about it in the coming week
  • Hope to blog regularly again. (Hope!)

Good to hear that the service stuff worked out for you. Now you know why I have refused to buy any other make of notebook, and from anywhere but in India. The extra we pay here is well worth the near instantaneous service one gets here (and I have nearly a decade of experience in that department)!

Same experience here. I had bought my thinkpad in the US and I was wondering if it would be a hassle getting service here, but they didnt ask any questions. Motherboard replaced, no charge, in just 1 working day! ( Helps that my office is 5 minutes from the service center )
