In and Out

I got back to Bangalore over the weekend, but after a quick pit-stop, I’m off to Gir in Gujarat, the only home to Asiatic lion in the world. We have our annual India Nature Watch get together over there and looking forward to meeting some fellow photographs as well as photographing the lions. Btw, there are few places opened up in the Wildlife and Conservation Photography Expedition as well as the next Digital Photography workshop which is scheduled for the first weekend of December. The expedition should be fun as there are a lot of new hotspots that have opened…

Extension of the Exhibition

By popular demand, Goodenough is extending the exhibition for few more days. Mostly till the Friday. I might not be in all the time, but will be in and out rest of the week. Do buzz me on 07876085594 if you are planning to come.

Exhibition Updates

The exhibition has been going on really well. The turnout on the opening evening was not as big as I had hoped, but later I found out it was because of the bad weather and a conflicting Rugby match. I think my talk went ok as there were enough questions at the end. People have been coming in large numbers since 10am today and even at 6pm, people were still coming in for the exhibit. If you are in London, do come for the exhibit soon as it closes tomorrow evening (tuesday) A BIG thank you again for the sponsors…

The best F1 race ever ?

I hope all the Formula 1 fans watched the race today. My heart stopped during the last 2 laps. Could this be the best and the closest race in the history of racing ? I’m go glad Lewis Hamilton won and more importantly McLaren won after all these years. I have seen this only in India with cricket matches, but today I saw crackers go up all over Bristol.

London Photography Exhibit

Here‘s a PDF version of the invite and also here‘s a large invite with some of the photographs of the exhibit in it. If you are in London or know anyone who is there right now, do give them a shout and ask them to come by. There are more than 45 images on display and all of them are on sale too as a fundraiser for NCF. An international photography exhibition is a big thing for someone who is trying to do this as a living. This whole thing just would not have been possible without the generous support…

Wildscreen

The week long Wildscreen festival finally came to an end. I got a chance to meet all the gods of wildlife photography and film making in the world. They were all there and it was an amazing chance to just meet them in person. The festival is ofcourse is a great place to make lot of contacts and this means meeting people from National Geographic, BBC, Animal Planet etc. Even though I’m new to this world, it was still very exciting to meet them and exchange business cards. Will have to wait and see if that will translate to any…

At Wildscreen

I’ve been at Wildscreen Festival this whole week and last evening my long time dream came true. I finally met David Attenborough in person and even managed to show some of my photographs to him. Pretty much everyone related to wildlife in some way or the other is here and today is the last day of the festival. More soon …

Settled in Bristol

My first 3 days in UK have been good so far. Though people bitch a lot about London, it really is a nice city (atleast what little I’ve seen of it). Will be back there end of the month to spend few days, so hopefully will get to explore it a bit Been in Bristol the last two days. This is a very small lazy city and it has been raining since the time I have come here. So have not had any chance to explore the city and its night life. After many years, I’m sitting at a desk,…

Off to UK

Getting ready to fly to UK in few hours time. I just realised it has been more than 4 years since I’ve gone out of India (counting out my walk in Namdapha where I walked into Burma).I will be shuttling between London and Bristol. So if any of you are in and around that area, do give me a shout. I’m attending WildScreen and Wild Photos and also spending some time working with Icon Films and hopefully some time at BBC Natural history Unit. The main purpose of the trip is the India Biodiversity Photo Exhibit that I’m doing in…
