Off to UK

Getting ready to fly to UK in few hours time. I just realised it has been more than 4 years since I’ve gone out of India (counting out my walk in Namdapha where I walked into Burma).I will be shuttling between London and Bristol. So if any of you are in and around that area, do give me a shout.

I’m attending WildScreen and Wild Photos and also spending some time working with Icon Films and hopefully some time at BBC Natural history Unit.

The main purpose of the trip is the India Biodiversity Photo Exhibit that I’m doing in London in November (more details on it soon).

More later… time to go get ready

    Welcome to UK

Hi kalyan…how are you? i hope you are in UK now….i will keep visiting your blog couple of times a week to see any updates on my ever favorite places BR Hills/Bandipur/Nagarahole i stay in Reading (20 min from London), basically from Mysore (roots are from malavalli) i am working as a software professional to earn my bread & butter. Its been long time you updated anything about BR Hills, i am happy that …..you have posted your price catch (tiger..snap) recently.

I have been to BR Hills/Bandipur/Nagarahole/cauvery WLS…lot many times (i miss a lot)…though i had the passion of capturing these places/wildlife in images ..but i should accept the fact that i was not able to afford these expensive SLR camera’s. Today i finaly broke the barrier & got SLR Sony alpha 200 SLR + additional 70 – 300 MM Lens …but still could not afford canon or nikon 🙁 ….i am now busy playing around with that and getting geared up for my visit to India soon (in december).

I wish we can meet and tour nearby places for photography (don’t expect too much from the national park’s of UK)

    Regards,
    Mallik Umapathy
