Wildlife Exhibitons and meeting the President of India

Looks like the WWF exhibition has finally come to Bangalore and it is being held this weekend at Taj Residency. I have no idea how many of my photographs are being displayed, but there should be quite a few. If you are in that area, do swing by between 11am and 8pm on the 14th and 15th of Oct.

However, I will not be around at the exhibition.

The President of India is coming over to BR hills this sunday to attend the 25th year celebrations of the local tribal NGO : VGKK. I’m displaying/exhibiting my BR hills photograph for the pres and hope to spend 5 – 10 min with him talking about BR hills ecosystem and landscape. I’m very honored to be given 5 min off his 1 hour schedule at BR hills after which he will fly back to Bangalore.

Abdul Kalam has spent time in BR hills too it seems. Before he became the president, he was down there for more than a week as he really loved the forest and the tribals and the work that VGKK was doing. I hope to showcase the biodiversity of BR hills and also talk to him a bit about conservation at BR hills.

I have lot of work the next 2 days as I have to take all the framed prints to BR hills and put them all around a big hall, in middle of hundreds of security people who have come down to do the security arrangements.
