Update

Some updates on my photography front :

  • I got a mail from BBC Wildlife last night. I did not make it to the wildlife photographer of the year award. However, my Vine snake photograph made it to the final stage of the ‘Animal Portraits’ category it seems. I’m just thrilled to even have reached to that point considering they had more than 18,000 entries from 55 countries.
  • About 20 of my photographs have been selected for a exhibition being hosted by WWF. If you are in Delhi, do visit the Indian Habitat Center from 25th to 31st. The exhibition will be held later in Mumbai, Singapore and Bangalore.
  • The DVD of this years movie Snakes on a Plane will have the Vine snake photograph again on the titles screen.

I have tons of photographs to post from my recent BR hills trip. I’ll try to post them by this weekend. Lot of updates on my work front too… will post about it later.

    great news on all fronts; How did you learn about the Vine Snake photo making it to the finals? If they told you, how nice that they are so transparent about things.

    Guess who is going to be in the (definite) queue at the Bangalore show….woo hoo.

    What could be better than..

    ..having your pictures at IHC!

    The only hitch is, i would have seen all of them :), can just ensure if they are put at the right place!!

    The BBC folks sent a mail saying I did not make it, but they were happy to tell me that some of my pics made it to the final round. When I mailed them back, within an hour they got back to me with the details 🙂

    Great news about your work getting wider, ummm, exposure. Sorry about the BBC competition. There is always the next year. I am proud of you – not just the photographs, but your passion to try something different from the norm. It is not an easy thing to do.

    BTW, ordered my digital gear. It is on its way to me as I write this. This weekend I hope to do some test shots.
