Gmail down ?

Looks like Gmail is having a tough time catching up with loads of new users (It was expected). I currently get the following error when I hit gmail.

Gmail is temporarily unavailable. Cross your fingers and try again in a few minutes. We’re sorry for the inconvenience.

Hey, at least they have a sense of humor. Their Ad system seems to work quite well. In an email to someone, I called the person a ‘Fatty’ and google showed him 3 ads about weight loss programs right next to the email. Also Userfriendly.org is on gmail theme this week.

Hey kalyan,my yahoo mail account and it never upgraded to 100MB. Today someone sends me a mail saying it will, if i switch the Language in the Options to something other than English-India. It works. It reverted back to 6MB when i set it to English-India again. What’s the deal? Is this a glitch or on purpose?

I’ve been getting lots of gmail invites to give away… almost 40 over the past week!

I have 1984esqe visions of rows upon rows of machines made to toil away in their racks. I guess it is not too far fetched. Yahoo must have the number of machines in the same order as google…
What you say sounds like the india machines actually dont have that much disk space to spare yet, but changing the language somehow forces it to give me that much space. Is this a bad thing then?
