Astonishing. I still cannot be sure which set of “eyes” gives it away.

    Amazing

Really Amazing. Had to struggle to find something which had a pattern. But I still cant figure out where it starts and end. For me it looks like a lizard with the tail chopped off….

Super stuff dude — how on earth did you manage to spot it in the first instance. Is it a draco ?
We had super time spotting a draco at Dandeli – we knew it is there but couldnt spot it until it opened its tounge out πŸ™‚

Your other images are long pending !!!!

Could spot it, but that’s awesome camouflage! Can it change its color and pattern to match the background?

    Amazing. Just brilliant!

The tail looks damn fat. not like the common lizards. Exactly at the center(of what I think is the lizard) the pattern looks like a cross. I dont know if the horizontal bar is merging with the pattern of the tree and hence it looks like a cross, or is that the hind legs of the lizzy?

    mental pic. πŸ™‚

do you also have a ‘here it is’ shot, now that you have posted a ‘spot it if you can’ shot?

determined to spot the lizard…even after 2 hours πŸ™‚

    Hi Kalyan,

As a die-hard Spot-The-Difference addict ( you know, those two cartoon panels in some newspapers) I thought I’d spot the lizard easily enough.

After 2 hours online, shuffling my webspages, browsing between your pic and e-mails – I still cannot spot the l!

Love your blog, and yes I *will* keep on at it till I see Lizzie,

All I can say is: I have never, and will never, cease to wonder at Momma Nature.

And at the intolerable cruelty we humans impose on her…

Wow! this is great. I just did a research and came up with this –

“In ecology, crypsis is the ability of an organism to avoid observation. A cryptic animal may do this through camouflage, nocturnality, subterranean lifestyle, transparency,[1] or mimicry.”
