Got Battery ?

The expedition is 2 weeks long and I do not have access to any source of electricity along the way. I tried the AA battery pack for my D200 and D70, but they hardly last. I tried bunch of solar options, but either the gear is too heavy or not powerful enough to charge these batteries. So I need to pack up as much juice for my camera as possible.

If any of you have a spare Nikon D200/D80/D70/D50 battery, I’d really appreciate it if you can let me borrow it for 3 weeks.

    Two thoughts

Do D50 batteries really work in a D200?

Be sure to turn off the auto-view feature (that puts up the just-taken picture onto the monitor), as that’ll eat battery. VR does to some extent as well.

    Best of luck!

Bangalore. Will source the d70s’ pack. I have a d80, you can take its battery pack too, I was considering getting an extra.

    I’ve mailed you my cell#.

I hope you can recall which battery belongs to whom when you’re returning them. 😉

The disk is rated to do over 60GB worth of data transfer on a single charge, BTW. I’ll give you the two additional external batteries too.
