Bunch of new pics from my old collection

The World in Our Hands
I just love this picture. The pattern on the tyre makes a lovely backdrop and this insect stretched its leg, just in the right way to make it look very attractive. This picture of course tells a story too. The story conveys our relationship with the environment, and how delicate the nature and wildlife around us is and how easily we can destroy it all.

I’ve uploaded bunch of new pictures from my old Kanha and Bannerghatta collection.

The splayed front legs give the impression of a rock climber’s arms. Rock climbing insect 😉

    great pic…

It is to be hoped that the tyre did not roll over the stick insect subsequently! :-))

But knowing the photographer, it didn’t happen…that’s wildlife ethics.

What do stick insects eat? Many society ladies would like to know their diet!

If you do have access, pick up ‘Life in the Undergrowth’. Amazing stuff and the dvd;s are filled with amazing info about them.

It’s an old entry… but the photo caught my attention. Truly beautiful… the insect!! Just a pang of guilt that it could have… just could have plunged to death a moment later. Glad it lived to see another moment – perhaps!

Added ya as a friend, btw!
