Security startup

OK, this might come as a shocker, but yeah, sriramb and me are starting a security consulting startup. As sriram points out, we need a good name for which a .com domain is available. We have been breaking our head’s over it for a while, but you know how it is coming up with good names.

So if you have any idea’s do pitch in. We will give away one stock of our company to you if you have the winning name ๐Ÿ™‚

More details about this coming soon …

Update: The contest is closed and the winners (if any) will be announced in a while ๐Ÿ™‚

This is great! I would try to think about few suggestions.

BTW, is this company mainly going to concentrate on Indian businesses or businesses worldwide? If main focus is indian businesses then desi name could be picked up more easily.

And yeah, all the best! ๐Ÿ™‚

    Argos/Argus??

    http://www.answers.com/topic/argus

The watchman of Hera in greek mythology and whats more – “To commemorate her faithful watchman, Hera had the hundred eyes of Argus preserved forever, in a peacock’s tail” – a subtle hint to our national bird. You can use the peacock feather to design your official colors/symbol.

Getting the domain – you can try to append or prepend some letters (inc. etc etc)

    1. Just like ‘Vanguard’ …. which has the following meanings .. which seem apt for ur purpose :
    > the leading units moving at the head of an army [ in ur domain … the first line of defense ]
    > avant-garde: any creative group active in the innovation and application of new concepts and techniques in a given field [ …. can exactly map ur mission objectives ]

so my first suggestion …. http://www.WANGUARD.com ๐Ÿ™‚ … a pun intended … for the Wide Area Network guards ๐Ÿ˜‰

    2. Again a play on the word WAN … but this time … from the concept of manholes … how about ‘www.WANHOLEPLUGGERS.com’ …. sounds geeky and garage style … ๐Ÿ™‚ ..

    3. last pick … a play on ‘security’ …. http://www.seCUREity.com
