kudos to you mate for taking the cudgels for the protection and conservation of wildlife in India. btw is there anyway we can help you and the NCF in this regard. Any volunteering activities or awareness campaigns that can be done from our side which can help you guys. Do let know if any such volunteer activities are there?
Its one thing to fight the enemies , but its altogether a different game to turn you enemies into friends .. I truly appreciate your initiative of the press release .. I hope it accomplishes the latter. Good luck.
Really! That is fabulous! They had once trapped a leopard in Mangalore and released it at the wildlife park near by. It didn’t survive two days. It was caught near some shops. Same story as the one you mentioned. Poor thing was surrounded by hundreds of people, couple of whom he had attacked. And had injuries too maybe from dumb bastards stoning it!!
I’m new to your site and amazing photos. I’ve taken greatly to elephants and am concerned for their welfare. Could you tell me why Kanthi has chains on your ankles? Is she chained at night? I suppose her will was broken by those who take care of her? Does she live with a herd? Does she appear happy? Has she ever been hit or yelled at?
doing a great job

They did finally release it in the wild. So we just have to hope it can survive the next few days out there.
Thats a truly moving picture.
Good for you. I can’t imagine how hard it must be to take the side of the animal who is seen as worthless. Strength be with you.
very moving image. Your images speak for themselves.
Great Going!
