It’s the journey, not the destination
Drove to Sangam and Muthathi via Kankapura on saturday with bunch of photography friends. The destinations themselves were polluted and crappy, however the drive till there was mind blowing and almost felt like a drive through switzerland. The weather was on our side as well. Too bad I could not do justice to scenery, but I managed to get back few gems.
lazy me. Anita has posted a nice write up.
good pix dude !
> western ghats
now sure whether you can see the western ghats from newhere near kanakapura 😉
This was beyond kanakapura and I assumed the western ghats started there. But your are right.. my bad. I changed the filename 😉
Journey…not the destination
the old adage definitely held true during this trip 🙂 i think we were lucky to have gotten all kinds of weather and get a chance to photograph under all kinds of conditions! what was most priceless was vasu’s repeated comment about the ‘perfect picture in his mind’!!
this may be the mm hills or that range .. Veerappan territory 😉
br hills
nice snaps:) like the one with the kid and the cycle..and also the long walk/black umbrella snaps.. the lake one is nice too the reflections are good.
one thing though your thumbnail utility seems to be cropping instead of just scaling.. The black umbrella snap seems funny in the thumbnail view with the top of the umbrella cut.. and same with the happy villager without his head..
Nice pics – Try desturating the cart pic with the contrast bumped up a little bit. My personal fav is happy kids – this is damn good “People” photography
Great pics.. 🙂
Do let me know when you going on such a trip next.. I’m trying to be a photographer too.. 😀
Nice Shots. I like the photo(s) with the kids.
One of the guys who accompanied you, Zeeshan Nofil, seems to be in Accenture.. any idea which facility?
Oh yeah. He did mention something but I forgot. he works in the bannerghatta road office.
What lovely pics Kalyan! Really good work. Keep it up!
heh thanks. hope to shoot more in coming days
Yo, count me in the next time you make such a trip.

can i get a wallpaper version of this one?
Sure. This was planned up by BSB folks and I came to know about it at the last min.
Interesting pics, finally i learn that cows still figure on your list of photogenic things even after all these years 🙂
Great pics! What kind of plant were the beetles crawling on? I want to say Lythrium, but I cannot verify from here.
Dude
remind me to give you a patch to album, if you notice, with the vertical photos, the summary thumbnail tends to get chopped….
Wow, Kalyan, great pics! I liked dragonflies the most.
Great pics, Happy Kids is Awesome!
Hey nice pikchurs man…
I liked the calf and happy kids..
very life-infused
🙂
Good work dude … Next time I probably won’t drop out … hahaha …
I bet you didn’t even know that I was to come too… I sat till 2300 hrs deciding (in my mind) and then with great difficulty had to say no … crap!
Beautiful pics, Kalyan! Thanks for sharing.
Re: Dude
a patch that would not crop vertical photos at all ?

he has invited me to join your group if interested in photography.. so I guess I will do that soon !
ur post heading made me philosophical for sometime, and helped me realise certain things 🙂
Shit man, The Predator was there and you didn’t bother taking more snaps of him!
There he is in the background!
