Lazy long weekend

What is the best way to spend a long weekend ? Doing absolutely nothing of course.

Caught up with sleep, mails , food, TV, friends, clubbing (note: spinn sucks) and other personal engagements. The non-stop heavy rain today has been amazing. Cooled down bangalore by couple of degrees and had an extremely relaxing time on my terrace. This however throws away my plans of shooting the lunar eclipse tomorrow.

In other news, my T610 reception totally sucks. Almost every call gets cut in the middle or I cannot hear what the other person is saying. Time for an exchange. 🙁

Hello, I saw your journal while searching random. You are interesting and intelligent. I put you on my friend’s list, if that’s ok. I hope the weather clears and you get to see the eclipse.

All Sony phones have the same failing – and it is easily demonstratable:

If you have a Sony phone, cup your hand over the top of the phone, and watch your signal indicator drop like a stone. Try the same thing with a Nokia, and your signal indicator stays right where it was.

basically, like most of Sony’s consumer products these, days (this includes their PDAs), they are nice and flashy and have lots of features, but after a while you realise that each product is basically a set of compromises.

Sad. I used to swear by Sony before – now I see people swearing *at* Sony.

( Bangalore is right at the round cloud ring on the right of the large cloud ring which you see in the ocean )

If you check my journal, you will see that I was kinda busy (and offline) during that time:

I am a bit surprised that no one else told you about these problems – we have discussed them off and on over the past year.

Well, I ignored everyone advice and bought a Samsung X100 instead. No fancy stuff, but it’s kept me happy so far.

  18. yathin · May 4, 2004 Reply

    Yep, even I thought so.

Cool picture, it looks like it’s alive.

    Moonsoon blues!

Just returned from my native in Barkur. Vow! what a rainfall was there out in the western ghats. Nature’s full fury was on display there. No wonder while returning we saw couple of trucks, cars derailed due to muddy and treacherous roads. It was breezy all the way to mysore….just like himalayas….and AC at -30 degrees heh….Wanted to take pics there but sadly i dont own a cam 🙁
