Indian elections : BJP Government

Remember kids.. Its time to vote tomorrow and BJP seems to be everyone’s fav party. I ask you all to look back a little and then decide.

India Shining : Well we all know its was an amazing marketing campaign. But lets face it, BJP has done nothing. It was at the right place at the right time. Thats all.
Pakistan : We had a major battle with them, we were at the brink of a major war and just before the elections things seem to be all goodie. Nice no ?
Genocide : Don’t forget the horrible killings in gujarat 2 years ago and how the BJP gov had aided in the genocide that happened. ( The person who led the genocide is still the CM of gujarat ). Read this article for more info.
Hindutva : BJP is the party that publicly supports Hindutva. Do you want a racist gov to rule your county ? Do you want them to cleanse non-hindu communities ? Also read fus‘s take here and here

Remember the future of India is in your hands 😉

Btw while driving to work I noticed this billboard and when I opened today’s paper, I notice this. The first one according to the board is a “A public awareness message by jan jagruti”, a NGO. The second one is a BJP ad. ( The ad refers to this congress campaign)

Judge for yourselves.. fucking jan jagruti is BJP. And looks like no one knows what they do
either.

    Re: Fact

The only comparison/difference to be made is who makes less.

No. The difference is , who does any bit of work. take AP CM. He is eats more money then you can possibly think off, but at the end of the day he does something for the state. I don’t care how much each of them eat, as long as they do a decent job of ruling the country.

I agree with that. But, for the ppl. to judge that, we need the system to be more transparent.

    > Why the heck should a government be promoting any specific religion!

Simple maths. If they can brainwash half the majority community (they’ve got means – RSS and its sister organisations reach far and wide) they’re assured around 40% votes. Add to this the urban population who become extremist / over-religious out of guild, and they are assured of a majority!

The only reason is votes. I’m sure none of them (the brainwashees not the brainwashed) care whether a temple / mosque / church / school / pub is build at Ayodhya.

I meant in the sense of people starting to argue about which party is the lesser/greater evil.

In a perfect world I would expect people to be blind to one’s race, color, ethnicity, nationality. HELLO!!! the world isn’t no where near perfection, let alone perfection, not even close to reason. How many countries in the world would let a non-native contest for the top job? I dont think even our good old FRIENDS of the Jewish peple, the germans would allow it.
Now, as much as I dont like being defined by my nationality, ethnicity, race caste, that is how the world works. I think a WHITE woman who is born outside the country is a foreigner. I also do not want to cause any anguish to people of mixed race disscent.

oh ok nice meeting you by the way. I have been your fan since months! 😉

    You maintain really cool webpages

    Why, thank you!

Cheap shot, and hardly worth discussing further. You obviously know who I am and what my background is, while I have no clue who you are (you certainly aren’t who you claim to be).

Let me know when you wish to discuss this as a real person. As for now, I reject every point you have made in this last post of yours.

That look of yours as seen in LJ user pic and your rocking webpages seem to sway me. Also your knowldge and thought breaking posts may have something to do with it.

Hehe yeah I guess we know what the motives for promoting religion.I’m just complaining/wishing for a more utopian government.

I accept that wasn’t fair on my part, but c’mon cut me some slack now, I have only been around for 24 summers. I can with confidence state that you do not know me nor do I know you in person. It is clearly not a case where somebody you know is taking cheap shots at you. It should not matter if I am ramu gowda or harish singh, as we may never come close to meeting each other, its just that we live in different worlds. At the end of the day, I love Germans, I lived with a guy from Oldenburg and a Polish guy raised in germany, it was a good experience to get the European perspective on things, and they were good human beings.
There is something you probably do not experience, the ‘RACE FACTOR’ as I and many others like me do. it is a feeling that can bring out the worst in a person. I am no saint nor Gandhi at this point in life.

Also, I apologize if I offended you, my knowledge of your background is limited to the information on your website. At the end of the day I am not capaigning for BJP nor miss Italia. I would have loved to talk this over beer and buy you all the pizza in the world if I were in bangalore. ‘Microsoft’ is another issue which i believe I can make you rethink your stance.
    Peace for now.

well what i am saying if he was that bad…why do people elect him?? Somebody did vote for him to come back right??

  16. achitnis · April 22, 2004 Reply

I am out of this discussion – it is just too surreal, and lacking in facts. This is the 21st century, and I find myself in a discussion about race and skin colour???

One word of advice for the future – in any discussion, never resort to attacking the person you are debating with (directly or indirectly), always focus on his/her points. The second you use the “who is saying this” instead of the “what is s/he saying”, you have lost the argument.

OK, I am out of this “discussion”.

Well it is the 21st century, and race and skin color does matter. that’s where the world stands, I am surprised that you believe that society is color blind when my caste or subcaste determines what engineering college I get into, in India.

  18. noelladsa · April 23, 2004 Reply

So if people elect him he’s not all that bad ? Some People can be forced , threatened ,people can be shit scared .We all know there are number of ways for votes to be got.

  19. gromhellscream · April 23, 2004 Reply

i don’t say that if he is elected he is not bad..all i say people are equally at fault to have elected him in the first place.

Are you telling me one guy can hold a whole electorate to ransom if they were willing to resist him..no.. Nobody wants to take initiative..The problem comes from the herd mentality people suffer from..Nobody is willing to step up..but everybody expects a messiah to standup and fight? why?
