Friday the 13th STRIKES

I got home from work last night ( rather this morning ), and I was taking my socks off just before I was about to crash and then it happened. I lifted my left leg to take the socks off and then I moved the weight on the my left leg to lift the right leg . Something snapped at my left knee and I crashed on the floor. The Pain lasted for 2 -3 min and I was just lying there on the floor. My knee looked fine and the dislocation lasted for a sec or something. Anyway dragged myself to the bed and slept off

Got up at 5:30am and then realised I had to visit a doc. So after 3 X-rays and some other checks, he confirmed everything was alright. Basically when the dislocation happened, it managed to damage some parts of the muscle above my knee joint and thats the pain I am feeling. Its not just the pain , but I do not have any strength on my left knee ( I cannot move it even if I wanted to ). The knee if swollen now and I am not allowed to bend it for the next 2 weeks. I have crutches and need to take bed rest for the next 4 – 5 days.

Then again its Friday the 13th.

The bright side : I will get pampered at home and will just sit in front of the TV, munching on my fav junk food through the weekend.

    Doh!

I hope you get better faster than that! Being immoble or using crutches both royally suck. 🙁

Do you have clutches or crutches?
Either way… get well soon, and enjoy your enforced period-of-rest.

You sure it was that? And not your practicing going down on one knee to pop a question or something, and getting it wrong? 😉

Sounds like a ligament tear. Thats Nasty 🙁

I have had it thrice so far on the same spot (my left ankle). My advice to you is that if the pain recurs again after months or maybe years, don’t move that leg. Just keep it elevated and probably even limp around on the other leg. Doing so will ensure that you don’t get a massive swelling.

Also be really careful, since any minor accident will cause the muscle to tear again.

    Get well

If I were in a similar situation i would drag on for months by pretending to just watch movies, TV munching chips. Why not copy this act?
Anyways get well fast and I hope u’r ankle injury is not serious as our own Tondulkar had in 99’s, when everybody thought his career was nearly finished.

    Get well soon!!
