Bye bye Yahoo!

This week will be my last week at Yahoo! Bangalore and I finish exactly 3 years at Yahoo this coming monday.

Everyday here has been a learning experience. Met some of the brightest minds ever, learnt many valuable lessons in life and Yahoo has pretty much been my second home.

I’ve been fortunate to have made some really amazing friends, met many incredible coworkers and I get to take with me some great memories which I can cherish rest of my life. It has been one heck of a ride. I know there will be no other place like this and it will remain very very special. The decision has been one of the toughest one I’ve ever taken.

I’m *not* jumping to another company (atleast not yet). Am planning to take a break from work and figure out what I want to do in life from here.

Is this contagious or what? All the best!

Damn, these giant corporates spoil you kids with fat pay checks – you can afford to take a break and think! In my case I just switched 😉

All I would say is “At the end it is better to do and regret than regret not having done at all”

Best of luck – you will succeed!

Unlike you, I do not run a company neither do I support a family. Luckly I do not have all those responsibilities yet. 🙂

    Yahoo will miss you…

I was only in the Bangalore office less than a week, but it was pretty clear that everyone there knew you and, more importantly, they liked and respected you. Well, except when they were teasing you. 🙂

Good luck with whatever you go for next.

    Same here!
Working in IT Services, I have realized that I can’t really afford to have a gap in my working history! 🙁 Those, who can afford this kind of gap, are lucky! And Service industry has already made me a copy/paste software engineer! 🙁

Heh – nope, Tarique didn’t mean that. He would know before you did. 🙂

I am a bit puzzled myself about what he meant though.
