Kabini pics.

Pictures from my kabini trip last weekend.

I shot 4 rolls of slides, but only 2 rolls came out well and the photo shop place managed to do a horrible job of the scans. So most of the pics are from my D70.

Too lazy to talk about the trip, but all I can say is, I am doing lot more trips in the coming weeks/months 🙂 yathin has a brief about the trip here .

The sheep pic is amazing. Do you have a wallpaper sized version?

    Making of “Two Stupid Sheep”

“Ah, I see two stupid sheep”

    “Let me get closer”

    “let me go closer still”

    “Ok. This looks good.”

[ The third sheep, the intelligent one, is hiding behind the trees, thinking that kallu was a butcher or something. ]

“Yeah! I got two stupid sheep!”

I always found your pics to be better than ‘s but this time he’s managed to do better than you, IMHO 🙂

That’s probably down to the camera usage … I used the Digital one and took a lot of shots and made a lot of corrections on the spot. Kallu shot mostly (all?) on film.

Your unknown bird is a young, male magpie robin. This is a young female magpie robin. Notice the lighter breast colour of female.

    Liked your munia nesting pic.

Good pictures. My favorites are the squirrel, two sheep and the jeep ride.

The bigger sheep seems to me like a ‘yo attitude’ sheep with its neck slightly bent to one side :)). The look in its eyes too.

Did you know that people take squirrel pictures by doing some squirrel fishing? They tie nuts or something that squirrels eat to a line and then take pictures.

It is Kabini RIVER not lake!

  22. admin · September 15, 2004 Reply

Well, to be technically correct its a reservoir 😉

  23. slosh · September 17, 2004 Reply

    Nope.

Kabini is a tributary of River Kaveri.
Also the reservoir built for this river is christened after it.
    🙂
