Did you hear the one about the programmer who outsourced his own job? A pseudonymous poster on slashdot wrote, “About a year ago I hired a developer in India to do my job. I pay him $12,000 to do the job I get paid $67,000 for. He’s happy to have the work. I’m happy that I only have to work 90 minutes a day, talking code. My employer thinks I’m telecommuting. Now I’m considering getting a second job and doing the same thing.”

The Noodle cup is too hilarious.
$12K is a pretty genereous amount! 😉
Sell-out!! :p
Haha, I know of companies who paid the Indians (freshers) just half the amount they used to pay the US developers, when they first came to India.
They wisened up later, of course.. 🙂
There are too many people wrting software these days…
Yeah, I agree. And too few people writing *applications*.
can anybody get me such outsourced job ..
You mean your company ? 😉
A *trilogy* of companies, perhaps?!
I can get you hooked up 🙂
Interested in QA 🙁 You can have mine.
Re: I can get you hooked up 🙂
.. QA 🙁 .. i just handed over my work to some one else .. 😉
With the rupee falling, the generosity increases 🙂
care to explain?
It’s a pun on the company he works for.
Writing software is what programmers do to earn money, writing applications is a luxury only a few can afford!
thanks – apparently he just joined my company 🙂
sounded familiar… I just checked the phone book and found Mrinal Kalakrishnan. Welcome, how’s TU going 🙂
Last I heard, he is getting screwed day and night during the training period.
