Small Indian Civet
BR Hills, Karnataka, 15 Jul 2006
The only reason I managed to get this photograph was because of a trick that Harsha taught me a while back. Most of these opportunistic hunters have excellent hearing ability and they have their ears always open for opportunities. As soon as I saw this civet for away, I started making squeaking noices. The civet immediately got attracted by the noise and ran straight towards us, hoping to catch some animal or bird in distress. This is the best shot of this animal I've ever taken.
