Thorns

While waiting for a eagle to emerge from its nest, I got bored and looked at nearby vegeration and noticed these thorns of the agave leaf, lit up by the sun. I grabbed my macro lens and tried this shot. The eagle (Mountain Hawk eagle) never came out of its nest and this is the only shot I have after a 2 hour drive on bad roads
