Short-toed snake eagle

BR Hills, Karnataka, 16 Jul 2006 While driving, I suddenly found this eagle sitting on an open perch right next to the road. Though he was very close, I could not get a clear shot of him in the open. The two dark vertical lines are trees close to me, through which I could see the bird. This was the first time I’ve photographed this eagle.
