These are the dispersed seeds of Elaeocarpus tuberculatus, a rainforest species of the Rudraksha which are using in making Hindu prayer beads. This tree is pollinated by moths and is mostly dispersed by Bats. These trees normally form huge buttress tree trunks and are mostly found near the edge of steams.
