Secure under its mother, an elephant calf stands calmly unaware - for now - of the highly fragmented world it has been born into. Elephants are revered for their close link to Lord Ganesha, yet they are relenetlessly persecuted for raiding crops and are the core of human-wildlfie conflict in India. Future survival of elephants requires the establishment of corridors that allow for the safe passage of these magnanimous creatures.
