I overslept and got up with a breaking head ache. Managed to get to work only by 3. Messenger kept on dumping core.. and the link has been sucking most of the day too. I dont have place to even sit in my cube anymore… people are burning cd’s since morning on my windows box, and downloading mp3. I was suppose to have met Noel in the evening, which I has to skip coz of some stuff at work. had to ditch her completely ( met her only for couple of seconds ) 🙁 bah

Today Mrinal , JD and abhishek came over to Yahoo and gave a demo + presentation on their robo that they have been working and also the AGV that Mrinal and JD just completed. The talk was very impressive. Looks like we might be able to fund part of his project. One person from the office said, ‘It was like watching Discovery Channel in real life.’ Way to go Mrinal

Does anyone know any good travel agent or anyone else in blr, who can get me a new passport in about a weeks time ?? I need it to be done urgently.

The power supply in the VSNL colo is out and half the yahoo servers are down. damn f***** vsnl. And looks like I might be able to make it to HK, Issues with my Visa. <update> Will take me 2 days to get a visa. So there goes the trip </update>

Need to rush to Honk kong tonight. Got to know about it only couple of min ago, and dont know if I can get the visa on time . This should cheer me up.

Spent the whole of yesterday and daybefore at PESIT. Since this was purely a tech fest, The janta was quite less. Was blown away by JD’s talk on robotics and interfacing on sat. I wonder why he is not talking at LB/2002. I participated in the IT Quiz yesterday, and believe it or not, I screwed it all up on a linux question. If not for that, I could have come 2nd. Ended up in 4th place ( the Q was ” What does run level 2 in linux do ?”). Was seriously disappointed with that , whole of yesterday….

Was trying to evaluate some products from RSA yesterday. I felt like kicking the chap when he said ‘The RSA secureID is one of its kind. Its a very simple mechanism but works very well. We are the only ones who have this kind of solution in the world. The reason we are the only ones [at this point he is feeling very proud] is because we own the patent on this mechanism’ Sheesh, bye bye RSA, I am going for crypto cards :p
