you’ve got mail
Way back in 1998 I got my 1st pop account, which was kalyan@pes.edu ( which still works btw ;)). That was also the time, when I used to check my mail in the unix box, without popping it off. I did not know anything , and hence started using the command line utility “mail” for everything. For couple of months, I used “mail”, to check mail, reply mails and store the emails.
