Last night was a blast. Atul was celebrating his 40th birthday + wedding anniversary. I was late, but not too late for for the fun. How else to start a party then with booze. most of the office is going to Mysore tomorrow, on a 1 day trip (coz we have this imp visitor from the US) . Dont think I will go, coz I have seen the place tons of time and I have other parties to attend to tomorrow 😉

Sorry have been really busy last 2 days. Been told that I have to give a talk next week on crypto. So I have to start preparing for that. Sush hooked me on to this new comic strip called Sluggy. Check it out here ( start from the beginning ). Been spending lots of time on it.

so far so good. I walk in to office at 1:30 pm, only to be dragged out by people. We went out for lunch to “Ramana’s”. Amazing food and had a bit too much of it. It was basically a treat from Vasudha (HR) for couple of guys who helped out in the office shit.. Thank you Vasudha. Came back at 4:30 and since then, been stuck with people from various ISP’s. its 6:30.. and my stomach still hurts

Played UT for a while. Must thank ashwin for the multiplayer maps cd that he gave me. They really Rule. Boss never logged in today. So I guess no point staying back anymore. Just got the VPN to the office up. feels great to work directly off the US boxes now.

Never ever drive without your helmet. One of my office mate, met with an accident last night at 2Am while he was going home. No major injuries, but he fell on his face. All that could have been avoided if he had worn an helmet. So coz of this there are new strict rules in office. After 9 pm, none of us are allowed to go home on bike. We _have_ to use the Yahoo taxi. The only issue is that we have to come to office in a autorickshaw in the morning. For people like me who almost everyday…

I guess I spoke too soon about the monday morning blues. Total shit happened today. I had to put my code on the CVS server. Now I had all the stuff in a remote box, and I all did was run gmake on the source tree. Well, the compile died. but worse, the machine shot out mails to couple of internal Yahoo mailing lists. I did not realize this, till many people started getting mails. Of course they were all cursing me for spamming them. 😉 Well on the lighter side, we inaugurated our recreating room. TT/chess/cards etc . Played…

There is nothing like a crisp monday morning and when things are actually working. One of the only few monday’s where you can sit down and relax [ actually the reason is that there is a new sysadmin to take care of stuff 😉 ]. Had another one of those hectic weekend. Was practically out all day, visiting various places. Had been to Golconda for lunch, then was there at ITPL till evening.
