Something that I’ve been pushing for the past couple of months is finally taking shape. It will take couple more months before I can tell anyone about the secret project, but I wont bother telling anyone.. coz everyone one will see it for themselves. If it does happen, it will take up most of my time and the next 6 months could be one of the most hectic periods of my life. And I still have to work on my regular job parallelly. Finally after all these years.. managed to get to Vasantahabba. I should have reached there a bit early, could not get into the main amphitheatre. Watch most of the show outside on the big screens. When it rains… it pours. This week has been peaceful so far.. but today hell broke loose and I have shit loads of things to finish. I came across this piece yesteday and today skjaidev gave me this link http://www.nic.mil/cgi-bin/domain Thats right. Its the NIC website for the .mil domains. more on the ms-sql worm – cricinfo was not accessible ( manu pointed this out ) – 5 out of the 13 DNS root servers went down – 95% ( thats right , no typo ) packet loss across UUnet / Worldcom. – upto 210MB/sec traffic seen on some routers. – if you plug an infected machine into a port on an HP4000 switch it would freeze. anyway the traffic seems to be going down slowly.. and hopefully I can get some sleep tonight. many people have asked me how to filter it out on their linux box.
