Went over to fus‘s place for dinner today. Its my yearly Onam dinner visit to his place. Been doing that for the last 3 years. I moved to my new office on MG road this week. Because of some legal shit , we are not allowed to take out old machines. So it was that time of the year when I start with fresh BSD install, then download wmaker/fetchmail/galeon etc etc. Have done it after a long time and finally things are falling in place. Got my new Compaq N610c today. Mobile Intel Pentium 2.2 Ghz 30 GB Hard disk, 256MB Ram ATI Radeon 7500 with 32MB memory 15″ LCD Screen DVD+CD drive,external floppy Touch screen + track point ( my fav ) Best of all : 4 hour battery life So far the only issue I’ve come across is it gets a bit over heated (Hot enough to burn my balls)

Its been almost 3 weeks since I’ve actually updated my blog. Lets see… My new office inauguration finally happened. Lot of press about it all over. I should be physically moving to the new office sometime next weekend. Next weekend is also the time I’ll be getting my new laptop 🙂 Had a mini-vacation last week. To fight the effects of the nachi worm ( the worm that was created to fix the Blaster worm ), VSNL ( India’s largest ISP, which also controls the India’s international gateway) completely disabled ICMP on its routers. So no more ping from outside world coming into India. *sigh*
