Certified Ethical H4xor ?

Indian National Workshop on Cryptography Cryptology Research Society of India” (CRSI) is hosting its annual summit today. This year’s workshop, is based on the theme “Applications of cryptology to Information Security”. Satyakam Mishra (certified ethical hacker) and Dr. SA Vetha Manickam of Network Security Solutions, Pune will present a paper on “Software implementation of attack on A5/1 with possible improvements” at the workshop. “Certified Ethical Hacker” ? – I wonder which dumbass person/company certified him with that 😉 Oh wait, Ankit Fadia , did you get your designation from the same place too ?

Wish List – New Digital Camera

After having an Olympus D-340L ( 1.3 Mega pixel ) camera for 4 years, I’ve decided to go for a new one. This time slightly high end and more for some serious photography. After spending the whole day researching and talking to atul and tarique, eventually decided on the Nikon Coolpix 5700 This is the only digital camera that seems to fit between the amateur and professional class photography. Its slightly pricey but looks like its gonna be worth the cost. Hope to get it before the end of the year ( Once I figure out how I am gonna…

– The ceremony went on very well. It was a small get together and yes for that night I was the king..the red carpet, the limo, the celebrity guests and of course the awards themselves. Will post pics later ( including a certain picture of sushanth with jerry yang ) – Its been a hectic week. I have been busy with work and misc stuff. So no sight seeing at…

Long day and bad food

I wish last 2 days were 50 hours long. Time just runs too fast and I’m hardly getting time to do anything. I’m missing out on too many things, meetings, personal matters etc. Went out for dinner to Cesar’s on MGroad. If you care for you life, please never ever visit that place. I ask for a chicken a-la king, and he serves me a half-cooked chicken. I could actually see raw uncooked, untouched meat in my piece of chicken. He apologized and replaced the dish.( by that time I was totally put off by the raw meat). and oh and…

Virus killed the US consulate and cost me money

My mom had gone to chennai to pick up US visitor visa today. Her appointment was at 8:15 – 8:30 am, but she only came out at 4pm. The US Consulate refused to give any official reason and my dad was waiting outside without a clue on what was happening inside. To make matters worse , they had to miss the train back home which was booked at 2pm. It turns out it was a virus issue. Apparently a Virus Knocks Out U.S. Visa Approval System. I for one, would have never imagined I’d lose money ( the wasted tickets…

Suit hunting over!

Yep that’s right. I finally found my suit. More importantly I found my tailor for life. If you are looking for one, you should try out the Van Huesen showroom on MG road ( next to GK Vale). First of all they have wide range of models ( I found only 3 – 4 models in all other places ) and the quality, color and texture of the suits are amazing. And the best part of the whole store was the tailor there. As soon as he saw me, he gave me the perfect fit suit. He suggested all the…

Critical Mass

These days my friends page has gotten so huge, I hardly seem to find time go though all the journal entries. Its that time of the year, when I go and strip down my friends list. ( Do other people face this problem? ) One important feature that LJ does not support is a way to add a person as you friend, but skip his entries in your friends page and a way to add a person’s feed to your journal without friending him.
